3622 Old Forest Road, Lynchburg              (434)-385-6765                           www.quiltedexpressions.com

I can’t believe it’s time for the fall newsletter!  Hopefully, everyone had a relaxing summer and completed lots of projects!  Carol has done another fantastic job of filling the schedule with interesting classes to inspire you for new ones.  Be sure to stop by our Open House on Thursday, Sept. 3rd from 6:30-8:00 pm to meet our teachers and see our new projects.  This fall we are heading back to school and taking donations for our Resource teachers at Forest Elementary School again.  Students bring supplies to their home base teachers but the resource teachers (art, PE, computers, library, speech, reading, etc.) are not so lucky.  Please help us help those teachers who see our kids every year and know them best by bringing in any of the following items:  paper towels, tissues, hand sanitizer or antibacterial wipes.  You will receive a stamp for your donation that will get you 20% off your regularly priced purchases during Open House (a few exclusions apply)!

Our 4th Annual Rainbow of Hope auction is this quarter!  Do you believe it’s time already?  What a great event this continues to be.  If you have made a quilted item in honor or memory of someone affected by cancer to donate, it is due at the shop by October 3rd.  I am genuinely amazed at your generosity each year and because of that generosity, we have given the Hospice House almost $80,000.  The quilt show will be at Lynchburg General Hospital.  Please stop by the First Colony Conference Center located in the new Tower Friday, October 23rd from 3-7pm, Saturday, October 24th from 9am-7pm and 2-6pm on Sunday, October 25th and vote for your favorite.  All items will be available at the Auction on Saturday, November 7th at Mountain View United Methodist Church.  There are so many ways to participate – check out more details on the back page, click on the Rainbow button on the website or ask any QE staff member.  If you are interested in volunteering to help make this year’s auction another huge success, please let me know!

Don’t forget to ask for your raffle ticket for each $25 purchase starting the night of Open House and going through the month of September.  We will draw a winning number October 1st to receive 25% off regularly priced purchases through November.  Congratulations to Karyn Hutcherson who won our Summer raffle!  Happy Piecing - Tamera

Check out the website, www.quiltedexpressions.com and click on “join QE mailing list” to sign up to be the first to know anything that is going on at the shop.  You can also check out pictures of some of our samples.  We might even sneak in a secret sale every once in a while!  When an e-mail address is returned as undeliverable, it is our policy to give it another try.  If your address is returned twice in a row, it is deleted from our database.  If you feel your address might have been deleted (or has changed!), please “re-join” our list!
